Head of Sales (US)

Technology Owner - Beauty and CPG

$150k-$200k Base ($300k-$400k OTE)

New York or Los Angeles

This is an opportunity to lead the sales team for a fast-growing tech company who have recently been awarded a top 15 position in the Deloitte Fast 50 technology company list. The company have seen rapid growth over the last year and their focus is now on growing the US business with impressive growth plans, so they are looking for the best talent to ensure they achieve these.

The Head of Sales will be responsible for:

  • Manage and develop our Brand Partnerships team, providing coaching in all areas of the sales cycle to enable individuals' progression.
  • Build market sales targets and accurately report on the sales pipeline, including the likelihood of closing deals on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Identify and convert new brand partner relationships and support the GM & VP of Sales in achieving growth objectives.
  • Actively prospect for new brand partners and strategic opportunities, across (but not exclusive to) the beauty, healthcare and food and beverage industries.
  • Design, document and enact a new business strategy for the New York or LA market.
  • Lead the new business process from development of sales pipeline, pitch presentation, and deal closure.
  • Set and deliver on agreed sales objectives and new business targets.
  • Stay up-to-date on the product roadmap and upcoming launches, as well as
    the wider digital media ecosystem, in order to identify potential opportunities with new and existing brand partners.
  • Coordinate with the established Customer Success team to lead campaign set up and facilitate the onboarding of new brand partners, before training up in-market hires to execute campaign management.
  • Quickly establish and maintain a CRM database of key contacts, primarily in the beauty and wider CPG industry, as well as across all media agencies.

The Head of Sales will possess the following:

  • Minimum of 8 years related work experience pitching to fortune 500 companies within the beauty, marketing advertising, tech or CPG space.
  • Strong client database, with wider CPG contacts a plus.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Strategic, consultative sales approach with the ability to understand brand needs, create meaningful solutions, set proper expectations and close deals of all sizes.
