Human Resources Manager

Financial Services Agency

$100k-$110k Base Salary + Bonus

New York, NY (Hybrid - 3 days per week in-office)

We are partnering with a leading provider of business intelligence, data, and insights on the global asset management industry. Our client provides high-value, specialist business information to niche target audiences in the alternative and traditional fund management industries and employs over 450 staff globally with their head office based in London.

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager with a strong track record in employee relations and case management, who is a great problem solver and brings high-quality pragmatic HR solutions. This person must have experience leading in all aspects of the human resource function, including recruiting, policy development, benefits, and employee relations. Experience supporting Mergers and Acquisitions would be advantageous.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide a pro-active and responsive single point of contact HR Manager interface to the business leaders, ensuring successful and continuous delivery of HR-related services.
  • Support the client groups in the US in delivering the performance management process on time and to a high standard.
  • Bi-weekly processing of payroll working closely alongside the payroll and benefits manager
  • Work with line managers to successfully resolve escalated employee relations issues, and manage grievances.
  • Provide coaching and training to managers on HR-related issues, processes, and policies as needed.
  • Provide local support on the rollout of the HRIS and run local training sessions for staff.
  • Benefits and leave administration.
  • Core HR administration, reporting, and compliance activities.
  • Lead and coordinate HR projects as required.

About you:

  • HR Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of HR practices and US labor law and experience in complex Labor Relations cases.
  • Experience in US employment legislation, mergers and acquisitions, and processes.
  • Experience working with BambooHR, ADP, or US outsourced payroll provider.
  • Flexible personal style, proven ability to influence at all levels of an organization and challenge thinking in an appropriate, useful way.
  • Process and data-driven, yet comfortable operating with unknowns/emerging priorities.
  • Excellent IT skills (advanced Excel and PowerPoint) HRIS knowledge.
