Aspire is partnering with the leading source of analysis on international business and world affairs. Having been around for over a century and headquartered in the UK, this well-known media company has content in digital, print, and events.

This position is for a Senior Event Manager working across their custom events portfolio. They will assist in leading and developing the US office while reporting directly to the Global Head of Operations. This person will plan, coordinate and control the activities of event projects to meet organizational and operational objectives.

The responsibilities for this role include the following:

• Working with the wider conference team to create custom events, manage client engagement, and develop and execute quality events to organizational standards
• Managing the New York operations team, allocating resources effectively, and managing freelance needs
• Developing and managing supplier contracts, project management (including vendor delivery), operational needs, and financing of bespoke events
• Working alongside business heads and commercial peers to establish a rate card structure for turnkey and bespoke custom events
• Ensuring that the team meets agreed deadlines for the programming, marketing, and production of events.

The candidate should possess the following:

• Experience managing conferences and bespoke client-tailored events, preferably international events in the B2B industry
• Creativity and a passion for developing high-quality, forward-thinking event experiences on a lean budget
• Experience managing vendor relationships and events logistics
• Excellent client management and team management skills while working across various projects
• Familiarity with event technologies and the ability to assess new technologies to make strategic recommendations
• Able to fulfill flexible working hours and travel as required during busy event seasons
