Aspire is partnering with a distinguished brand, known for its thought-provoking content and international influence, across Print, Digital, and Audio. They are looking for a Global Chief Economist who'll be responsible for driving world-leading macroeconomic, business, and political reports and forecasts.

This is a high-profile role within the industry that requires someone to have a strong external profile. You'll be liaising with Economists and Non-Economists across a wide range of topics that will impact the global economic landscape.

The Chief Economist will be responsible for:

• Demonstrate credibility in public discussions on matters of international economics with global experts of the highest seniority.
• Ideally possess an existing strong external profile or have the ability to rapidly acquire it, enabling effective communication with both economists and non-economists across a wide range of topics.
• Promote forecasts and analysts internally and externally, targeting colleagues, clients, prospects, media, and utilizing services.
• Prioritize user-focused approaches, considering how clients consume content, while collaborating with commercial colleagues for new business development and key account retention, ensuring economic analysis brings value to both private and public sector clients.
• Leading a global team and managing across borders to provide a connected and high-functioning team.

The Chief Economist will have the following experience:

• A profound knowledge of economic analysis and forecasting, coupled with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-economists effectively.
• Demonstrate exceptional writing and editing skills, thriving under time pressure.
• Exhibit excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to mentor and inspire an intellectually-driven team, while balancing competing demands from colleagues outside your team.
• Function as a leader, capable of influencing the work of individuals not directly under your management, complemented by outstanding presentation skills and a strong public profile.
