Position: Editor - Telecommunications
Company: Communications Publication
Compensation: $65k - $70k Base Salary + Bonus
Location: New York, NY (Fully Remote)

Aspire is partnering with the leading source of information on digital and broadband technologies for communities and properties. Our client offers in-depth news, expert insights, and practical know-how on the technical, business, financial, and legal aspects of broadband solutions. With a focus on residential buildings and developments as well as municipalities, they help the buyers and users of broadband technologies, equipment, and services competitively distinguish their properties and communities in a rapidly changing marketplace.

Writing and Editing:
-Compose the Editor's Note for each digital publication issue
-Create articles profiling what's happening in the industry, such as the latest news and hot topics in the industry
-Solicit contributions from industry leaders
-Oversee current columnists, and solicit additional ones.
-Conduct interviews with industry leaders to profile in each issue
-Provide coverage of supporting partners' events
-Support the marketing team with content for sales pieces
-Create the editorial calendar for each year's media kit

Social Media and Website:
-Enhance and develop social media presence through Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook
-Feature breaking news items on the website and keep updated with information occurring in the industry in real-time

Other:
-Produce two newsletters each month. Providing the marketing team with the items to feature such as links to breaking news, featured articles in current issues, latest podcasts, and/or webinars
-Create company webinars and podcasts as well as custom webinar series for companies. Moderating these and supporting the marketing team in creating highly tailored campaigns to promote each webinar from beginning to end.
-Suggest, create, and moderate sessions at our conferences and take part in judging for our awards.

Skills/Competencies:
-Minimum two years of editorial experience
-Willingness to travel as required
-An interest in and/or knowledge of the telecommunications industry
-Proven ability to write quickly and accurately
-Ability to work effectively and independently
