Position: Account Executive - Digital Media

Compensation: $80k Base Salary ($200k OTE) + Benefits

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - One day per week in-office)

Aspire is partnering with a fast-growing media and events organization in the fintech and emerging tech space to hire their first Account Executive to lead digital media and ad sales.

Our client publishes a widely-read industry newsletter, produces popular podcasts, runs an online community, and hosts high-profile events and conferences, including a flagship annual gathering that has quickly become one of the leading events in the stablecoin and digital payments ecosystem.

In this role, you'll focus on generating new revenue across newsletters, podcast sponsorships, sponsored research, and social campaigns. You'll be on the front lines, building long-term partnerships with marketing and growth teams at top fintechs, financial institutions, and venture firms.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prospect, qualify, pitch, and close new digital media advertising business.
  • Build a strong, renewable book of business.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from outreach to close, including renewals and upsells.
  • Sell across a portfolio including: newsletter, podcast, social media, sponsored content, and virtual events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to build thoughtful, strategic proposals.
  • Manage pipeline and reporting in HubSpot CRM.
  • Share market feedback to help guide product and partnership development.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Experienced in integrated media sales, particularly in digital media, with a minimum of 2-5 years in a startup environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and drive revenue across multiple platforms.
  • Skilled in creating tailored media strategies and pitching solutions to meet client goals.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent presentation skills and a consultative approach to sales.
