Sponsorship Sales Executive
Events Specialist
$65k-$70k Base + Uncapped Commission
New York, NY (Hybrid - 3 days per week in-office)
This is an opportunity to join a leading organization in the conference and tradeshow space. The company has recently experienced rapid growth and are looking for a Sponsorship Sales Executive who will play a pivotal role in the acquisition of new sponsorship and exhibitor revenue for their series of events. The Sponsorship Sales Executive will ideally have 3+ years of sponsorship and exhibit booth sales experience.
Responsibilities
- Determine product offering(s) needed to achieve clients goals
- Develop an annual sales plan in support of team and personal goals and objectives
- Implements effective rebooking processes and onsite sales strategies/targets
- Deliver new exhibit and sponsorship sales revenue
- Obtain additional sponsorship revenue from returning clients
- Attend competitor events with the team to source new business
- Provide timely and accurate weekly sales reports and forecasts
- Collaborate with marketing to develop exhibitor marketing emails and newsletter content as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of event sponsorship sales experience in events or media
- Exceptional communication skills
- 3+ years CRM experience
- Strong negotiating skills
- Ability to travel (US only)
Skills
- Excellent telephone sales skills and ability to sell face to face
- Good questioning and even better listening skills
- Ability to create urgency and close business
- Ability to write professional sales proposals
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, teams, and Salesforce
