Position: Account Executive

Company: Energy Events Specialist

Location: Houston, Texas (Remote)

Compensation: $70k-$80k Base (OTE - $120k+)

Our client is a leading organization in the energy conference space. We are looking for an Account Executive to join the US team and help expand client relationships, new and existing across the Energy industry with a strong focus on Upstream Oil & Gas. The perfect candidate should possess a track record of effectively overseeing an established portfolio of clients while also driving growth through proactive business development activities. This entails conducting research, initiating interactions, and forging partnerships with C-Suite executives, as well as participating in both virtual and in-person events to facilitate sales. The Account Executive will have 3+ years of experience selling complex solutions and experience working in an autonomous environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of curiosity and have a visionary outlook in relationship building.

The Account Executive will be responsible for:

  • Ensure the business's sales plan is being delivered to plan - on target and on budget
  • Willingness to dive into new industries to understand the key players
  • Knowledge of the development of different revenue streams and understanding of creative and complex sales
  • Knowledge of key market drivers and ability to reflect them in the direction and output of the business
  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape and ability to identify key USPs
  • Ability to identify development opportunities to increase event/product mix within the market

The Account Executive will possess the following:

  • Experience in looking beyond the traditional conference industry revenue model and being open to embracing and creating new ideas around revenue generation
  • A proven track record of delivering revenue against target
  • Strong project management skills
  • Confident and able to build rapport and lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask, working on multiple events at the same time
  • Experience working with various sales tools and systems such as Salesforce and Pardot
  • Interest in energy, energy transition and cleantech
