Position: Business Development Director

Compensation: Up To $150k Base ($225k OTE)

Location: United States (Remote - East Coast Preferred)

The Business Development Director position, reporting to the Global Head of Sales, focuses on driving membership sales within the wealth management space. The ideal candidate will have established connections within this sector and experience in a relationship-based sales role, leveraging a strong network to secure new business. This role is designed for someone who can generate significant revenue and build industry relationships, especially in the first year, where the emphasis will be on new business development. This role requires wealth management knowledge and experience in the events space to successfully sell to this elite market.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Partnerships team to develop and execute the membership offering for US wealth management firms, including go-to-market strategies, sales messaging, pricing, and client benefits.
  • Drive revenue growth by meeting sales and contract goals and building long-term relationships with existing and prospective partners.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction with support from Client Services, leading to strong renewal rates and managing a consistent pipeline of new members.
  • Work with the IR team to optimize event ratios and audience quality, while attending in-person Retreats for networking.
  • Align Wealth Partnership initiatives with internal teams, product offerings, and market trends, while actively participating in industry forums to increase visibility.

Requirements:

  • Strong network and knowledge within the wealth management industry.
  • Proven track record in sales, business development, and driving commercial success in the wealth management space.
  • Skilled in negotiation, communication, and relationship-building across all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics and competitive landscapes.
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and able to work under pressure with attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, high integrity, and willingness to travel for partner meetings and industry events.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
