Position: Account Executive - Sponsorships

Company: Events and Media Specialist

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - 3 days per week in office)

Compensation: $90k-$110k Base + Uncapped OTE

About the role

This is an opportunity to join an established and award-winning business in the financial/energy media space. The role sits within the events sales team who drive revenue through selling conference sponsorship, roundtables, virtual events and thought leadership pieces. The role will focus predominately on selling the company's events offerings, but you will also have the opportunity to work across the group and cross sell their different products and services, including subscriptions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Exceed all event revenue, contract growth and customer number targets.
  • Nurture existing client accounts while developing relationships with multiple points of contact to grow revenue, increasing both average spend and frequency of spend across portfolios.
  • Enable significant new business growth - creating a pursuit list of our desired clients and a plan on how we will secure them.
  • Gain client insight and feed into our event development strategy to create innovative new propositions and fresh commercial opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products, our competitors, and our client landscape to enable high-level credibility to maximize impact on sales discussions and therefore revenue generated.
  • Self-source leads and new opportunity streams by studying internal and external channels.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 5+ years of event sponsorship sales experience, ideally with some knowledge of the finance or energy space.
  • Consistent top sales performer with an extensive track record of event sponsorship sales to senior level client contacts.
  • Client focused and proactive with entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Creative & Innovative.
