Event Manager (Contract) - NYC

Hybrid (2 days per week in office)

Rate: $45-$60 Hourly - (18-20 Weeks)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage conference and events planning and execution, creating production timelines and enforcing project timelines.
• Manage event logistics, such as site selection, room sets, audiovisual, food & beverage, décor, signage, and exhibit hall operations.
• Oversee event branding, onsite signage, collateral material, virtual platform development, exhibitor services, and sponsorship fulfillment.
• Manage post-conference/event activities, including lighting design, floorplan setup, décor, entertainment, vendor communications, run of show, and staffing guides.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years in a similar event management role.
• Experience planning, managing, organizing, and executing complex events from inception to completion, within budget on schedule.
• Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work smart in a fast-paced environment and engage with vendors, partners, and clients directly.
• Self-motivated, articulate, possessing excellent verbal and written communication, and successful interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel.
