This is an opportunity to join one of the largest revenue-generating portfolios for an established and award-winning conference and tradeshow organizer. This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated by success and interested in furthering their career within the events space or joining a thriving industry that is experiencing record growth.
Position Purpose:
To sell across multiple portfolios within the conference and tradeshow space.
The Business Development Manager will drive portfolio growth across sponsorship and exhibition sales. They will use a needs-based sales approach to secure higher sponsorships as well as a transactional sales approach for expo sales.
They will work with both the conference producer who acquires the speakers for each event as well as another Business Development Manager who will be working on the same or a similar portfolio. They will also work with the marketing and experience teams respectively to ensure the growth and delivery of the event.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:
* Deliver outstanding customer service in the day-to-day management of clients to achieve exhibition and sponsorship sales revenue
* Managing the entire sales cycle from initial outreach, to closing their business, to account management
* Generating revenue through a retained client base
* Demonstrating commercial awareness by being able to deliver accurate sales reports and forecasts
The Business Development Manager will possess the following:
* 1-3 years sales experience, both face-to-face and over the phone
* A driven and dedicated approach, as this person will need to spend at least 2 hours a day on the phone
* You'll be a results driven individual motivated by surpassing targets and reaping the rewards
* A great communicator who can engage clients in a vision and offer multi-tiered solutions with a consultative sales approach
