Position: Key Account Manager
Compensation:
$90k Base Salary ($150k OTE)
Location:
New York, NY (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Key Account Manager to join one of our clients, a prominent provider of business intelligence, data, and insights in the global asset management sector. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in SaaS account management, with a strong preference for those familiar with the private equity industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and nurture relationships with key private equity accounts: Build strong, lasting relationships with C-suite executives and other stakeholders to ensure continued engagement and satisfaction. Focus on renewing annual license contracts and identifying upsell opportunities to drive long-term account growth.
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly growth targets: Proactively sell to new teams within existing accounts, while also cross-selling complementary products from the company's solution suite to maximize revenue. Ensure consistent performance in meeting and surpassing sales objectives.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the private equity industry: Continuously enhance your understanding of the private equity landscape, including emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities. Use this expertise to position the company's solutions effectively and differentiate from competitors.
  • Maximize firm revenue by identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities: Use industry knowledge to identify key pain points and market demands, positioning the company's offerings as the ideal solution to drive client success and revenue growth.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience managing and growing a high-value client portfolio: Proven track record in owning and developing relationships with premier clients, ideally within a SaaS environment. Skilled at driving client satisfaction, retention, and account growth through effective communication and strategic engagement.
  • Expertise in managing complex sales cycles: Proficient in navigating and managing long, intricate sales cycles while utilizing a CRM to accurately forecast, track progress, and ensure timely follow-up with prospects and clients.
  • Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and exceed revenue targets: Consistently demonstrates strong sales performance by effectively managing a robust pipeline, prioritizing opportunities, and applying a strategic approach to consistently exceed quarterly revenue goals.
  • Background in B2B account management: Previous experience in managing key accounts within the B2B space, with a strong preference for candidates with expertise in the financial services or asset management industries, to use industry knowledge and deliver tailored solutions.
