Position: Venue Director

Location: Miami, FL

Compensation: Up to $150k Base Salary + Bonus

Our client is a leading national event production company looking for a Venue Director to oversee operations at one of its flagship venues in the Miami area. This is an exciting leadership role where you'll manage all aspects of event delivery, build strong partnerships with hotel and venue teams, drive profitability, and lead a talented on-site team.

About the Role:

As the Venue Director, you will be the key leader responsible for creating an exceptional client experience and operational success at your assigned venue. You will oversee all event phases - from pre-planning and execution to post-event follow-up - ensuring that every detail meets the highest standards of service and quality.

You will also manage the venue's financial performance, maintaining profitability through cost control, inventory management, and resource optimization. Building collaborative relationships with the venue and hotel management teams is critical, as is developing and mentoring your own team to achieve operational and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the operations team to deliver flawless event execution.
  • Partner closely with venue management and clients to strengthen relationships and enhance satisfaction.
  • Manage financial performance, including reviewing P&Ls, controlling costs, and ensuring timely billing and collections.
  • Oversee all aspects of equipment inventory, ensuring functionality, security, and readiness for events.
  • Support the sales team with technical expertise and operational insights to maximize event revenue.
  • Hire, train, and develop team members, fostering a culture of achievement, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and innovations to bring fresh ideas to the venue.
  • Represent the company professionally during client meetings, site visits, and hotel functions.
  • Ensure all company standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed and maintain a safe work environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • 7+ years of leadership experience in AV services, hospitality, and/or event production environments.
  • Proven ability to manage both the operational and financial aspects of a venue.
  • Strong technical aptitude and a passion for delivering exceptional live event experiences.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • An ability to lead by example and inspire teams to deliver excellence under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
