Position: Business Development Manager - Americas

Company: Fintech Specialist

Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 Base + Uncapped OTE

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

About the role

Aspire is partnering with the world's leading premium content, sales, and networking platform for the global finance ecosystem. With the leading global digital intelligence platform powered by AI and news, it boasts the industry's widest and deepest profile database of fintech start-ups.

As a Business Development Manager (Americas) you will be responsible for selling database subscriptions and will demonstrate an ability to thrive and be excited by the entire process from lead prospecting and closing all the way through to managing accounts. This role will be relied upon to develop an acute understanding and general awareness of the fintech and financial services markets to creatively customize solutions to match client's needs, address pain points, and foster relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell monthly and annual subscriptions to those wishing to invest, service, or partner with the global fintech start-up community
  • Proactively target new prospects through a database of existing leads as well as building a network of new potential clients
  • Give professional and compelling product demonstrations
  • Follow up at the end of any free trial period
  • Follow up on incoming leads - taking their initial interest and building on this through contact by phone, email, or in-person/online meetings
  • Using CRM systems to record, in a timely manner, accurate relationship details with clients and prospects
  • Achieve a personal new business target & work with other members of the global sales and account management teams to grow specific accounts where suitable

Skills/Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of the fintech and financial services ecosystems
  • Minimum of 5+ years B2B subscription sales experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Professionalism in all communications (internal and external)
  • Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with a global team
