Position: Key Account Director
Company: Events and Media Specialist
Compensation:
$140k-$160k Base + OTE
Location:
New York City (Hybrid - 3 days per week)

Aspire is partnering with the biggest and best brand in the retail and ecommerce events space. We are looking for a Key Account Director to join the NYC-based team and drive sponsorship sales across their portfolio of global events. This is a 100% strategic account development role - perfect for someone who is an innate relationship builder with a 'hunter' mentality and who enjoys securing upsells and cross-sells with a curated book of business.

The Job:

  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets
  • Manage a book of Key Accounts of large tech providers and establish, nurture, and expand these valuable relationships through upsell and cross-sell opportunities for long-term growth
  • Research and pursue new business opportunities and create connections with influencers, executives, and decision-makers
  • Communicate with customers effectively and persuasively to uncover company-viable solutions from their view.
  • Act as a true account director overseeing almost all aspects of the client's business
  • Build strong executive relationships across multiple fields (CIO, CMO, CEO)
  • Utilize our CRM to track and report account activity accurately and in a timely manner
  • Work collaboratively with other sales team members and other departments
  • Stay informed on industry trends and engage with the larger retail tech industry

The Requirements:

  • 8+ years of consultative sales experience, ideally in events, digital media, insights, or SaaS
  • 3+ years in strategic account development
  • Enterprise level sales experience in the CPG, Retail, Grocery and Tech space
  • Experience selling client centric sponsorships and partnerships
  • Consultative selling is a must
  • Proven record of negotiation/sales in bouquet selling of 6+ figure deals reaching monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets and ensuring all KPI's are achieved
  • Know-how and passion for nurturing cross functional relationships and developing new business via account mapping
  • Experience working within a CRM managing a sales pipeline and accurately forecasting sales revenue
